AUGUST SEMINAR
Title IV-D Explained: The Hidden Incentives Driving Family Court Decisions
What you’ll learn:
Most people have never heard of Title IV-D, yet it plays a powerful role in family court decisions across the country. In this seminar, we’ll break down what Title IV-D actually is, how it incentivizes states to collect child support, and why those incentives often conflict with equal parenting arrangements. If you’ve ever wondered why courts push one parent into the “visitor” role, this session will open your eyes to the financial systems behind those choices and what reform could look like.
Date: Sunday, August 10th (12pm PST, 2pm CST, 3pm EST)

When you become a member, you’re not just learning — you’re funding real, ongoing advocacy work. Your subscription helps cover the cost of Mark Ludwig’s legislative trips and supports the national push for shared parenting reform.
With more than 30 years of political experience, Mark has personally championed legislative reform in 31 states, contributing to the passage of 10 shared-parenting bills in 9 states.
After experiencing family court system challenges firsthand — including going nearly seven months without seeing his son — Mark dedicated himself to systemic reform. He now travels extensively, meeting with governors, state legislators, U.S. Representatives, and Senators to advocate a 50/50 rebuttable presumption for child custody when both parents are fit, willing, and able.
